Week 10 Round Up!

What a busy term we have had! Well done to all of the Room 5 students who achieved so much in the classroom, on the sports field, at extension groups and even during isolation in their homes.

Here is a round up from Week 10:

Casebrook Challenge:

We had our first Casebrook Challenge Caine's Arcade. Some students in Room 5 put lots of time, creativity and effort into creating a super challenge. These games were inspired by the famous Caine's Arcade as a part of the Casebrook Challenge. A lot of hard work went into these! Some photos below:

We had 29 students receive a gold badge this term which was awesome!

Congratulations to Ryan and Bryn who received our Above and Beyond awards! This term you have both put so much effort, time and creativity into your challenge, great role models!

Kiwi Exams & Science Badges:

A large number of students completed a science badge for their Casebrook Challenge! The time and effort you put into these badges was reflected in the work you handed to Mrs Rouse, well done.

Some awesome results for those students who volunteered to sit the Kiwi exams in various subjects.

Home Learning

Well done Room 5! You have done a fantastic job at your learning from home, I am really proud of the independence you have maintained with your tasks. It was great that we could still catch up via Google Meets and keep in touch, some very entertaining calls.

I am very excited to see you tomorrow! We have so much to look forward to - lots of catching up to do and exciting things ahead such as athletics and our PRODUCTION DANCE!!

Check out the latest Casebrook News addition, it has some snaps from student at home:

Assembly

Congratulations to Ben, Maddie, Caitlin, Ellie, and Harry who were all awarded a REP badge in assembly today.

Well done Ryan for receiving our REP certificate for working really hard on his time management skills, great job!

Xavier, Harry, Zhibang, and Alex represented Room 5 in the school Cantamath competition on Monday and were awarded 1st place for Year 7!! A very impressive result.

We were very lucky to have Emma Dyke from the NZ Rowing Olympic Eight visit us today. She spoke about her career and how she became an Olympian. It was really interesting listening to her answers about life in Tokyo. We all got to hold her silver medal which weighed 0.5 kg. Keira got a special photo with her after making her a card.
